This unique Bolt Action Pen is hand crafted exclusively for UniqueTek by John McFarland of Silver Fox Pens. If you remember, John is the craftsman who made the unique .45 Caliber Desert Ironwood pens we had back in February. John was recently able to find a very limited supply of high quality Arizona Desert Ironwood … enough to make just 5 pens. We ordered 10 pens, but John could only get enough high quality Arizona Desert Ironwood to make 5. So he made the remaining 5 pens from Australian Eucalyptus Burl.
• The Pen Tip is made to look like a .30 Caliber Rifle Cartridge
• The Pen Barrel is turned from Arizona Desert Ironwood or Australian Eucalyptus Burl
• Cycling the Bolt Action Extends the Pen Tip
• The Pocket Clip looks a Bolt Action Rifle with a Scope
• The Metal has an Antique Brass Finish
Desert Ironwood — Only 5 Pens Available!
Each pen barrel is made from Arizona Desert Ironwood, which was traditionally used in Police "Billy Clubs" because of its extreme hardness. It ranges in age from 200-300 years old. The colors and grain varies from piece to piece and from totally black to mixtures of gold, brown and black. So each pen is unique and there will be differences in color and grain between individual pens.
Australian Eucalyptus Burl — Only 5 Pens Available!
Eucalyptus trees can grow to 300 feet tall with trunk diameters of 3 to 4 feet! It is used for musical instruments, tool handles, fine furniture, wood paneling and parquet flooring. But Eucalyptus Burl is rare and highly desirable due to its hardness and highly figurative grain. The colors and grain varies from piece to piece and from pale brown to light brown and occasionally silver or gray. So each pen is unique and there will be differences in color and grain between individual pens.
100% Natural Wood!
Each pen barrel is made from 100% natural wood. The wood has not been "filled" or "stabilized" with resins or other artificial fillers.
Note on Refill: These pens use a standard Parker type refill. To change the refill, simply unscrew the "bullet".
