It is difficult to find a screwdriver or bit that will fit the long, thin slot on Winchester Model 1866 and Model 1873 rifle magazine tube end caps. Plus, not all end caps have the same slot width!

The 66/73 Rifle Magazine Tube End Cap Wrench is the perfect tool for loosening or tightening the end caps on Model 66/73 magazine tubes. It allows you to easily remove the end cap without damaging the slot.

Shown approximately actual size.

Features:
Two Blades, one at each end, are oriented at 90 degrees to each other. So you
will always be able to engage the end cap slot, regardless of its orientation.
1/2" Long Blades engage the end cap slot across its full width.
The Blades are Sized to fit most end cap slot sizes.
Square Profile Blades won't slip out of the slot like conventional screwdriver blades.

Customer Feedback
"I also liked the wrench for the loading tube on 66/73 Uberti lever guns. I have both a 66 and a 73 and it worked on both. I will stop by your booth at Winter Range and pick up another one to throw in my gun cart, and take a look at all the new stuff."

"I received my cap wrench this morning and have already tested it. It works perfectly. Thanks for the prompt service. Good work!"

Tip!

Apply a penetrating/rust dissolving oil (e.g. Kano Kroil or similar.) to the end cap threads and let set for at least several hours before attempting removal. If possible, prop the rifle muzzle down over night in a cup filled with penetrating oil. This is especially critical if the magazine tube end cap has never been removed previously.

Tip!

Apply SLIDE-GLIDE Standard to the magazine tube end cap threads before reassembly. The unique lubrication and corrosion inhibiting properties of SLIDE-GLIDE make it a perfect choice as an Anti-Seize compound in this application.
NOTE: Although SLIDE-GLIDE Standard is recommended, if you already have SLIDE-GLIDE Lite, it will work just as well.
